Best of 2018 | South Dakota Photographer

Whoa. Another amazing year it has been & narrowing down my favorite images for this blog post is far from easy. As always, I’ve loved documenting such special times in each of my client’s lives and getting to know them along the way. Basically, the year 2018 was a good one and I’m even more excited for 2019 as I kick off this photography thing full time. Looking behind and thanking the Lord for His many blessings. Looking forward and trusting in His promises.

It's crazy to think that another school year is rolling around! My husband, Owen, is a high school teacher and is headed back this week. Oh and we're also patiently waiting for our baby to make an appearance any day now! So life is about to get a little crazy to say the least.

I'll be out for booking sessions for some time after baby, so it was a real treat to be able to sneak in a couple senior sessions this summer... including this beauty, Madie. We made our way through these flowery gardens and had a blast the whole time. Her smile is contagious and her kind heart shines through. Thanks for letting me document this time in your life, Madie!

As 2017 came to a close & 2018 quickly took charge, it was so fun to look back on all that has happened this past year. I was able to work with so many fun new clients and in doing so, fell in love with photography even more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart to all of you who trusted me to help capture a season of your life this year! It was my absolute pleasure, and I couldn't be more excited or ready to take on another year. So with that, enjoy reminiscing with me on some of my favorite images from 2017.

With a new website comes new adventures and I'd say blogging is definitely one of them! I know I know, I've had this website for almost 3 months now, but it's still super new and exciting to me. I hope to use this as a place to further express creativity and showcase the amazing people that I get to photograph. I couldn't be more thrilled to kick this thing off with one of my newest friends, Melissa, who has been such an encouragement to me in my journey of photography.
